Are you thinking about a courthouse elopement like Kendall and Andrews? I say GO FOR IT! Your dream courthouse elopement doesn’t have to be a quick trip to the courthouse, you can plan the entire day to your liking just like Kendall and Andrew did!
Andrew and Kendall had their dream courthouse elopement by incorporating wedding traditions, unique personal touches, and stunning wedding attire. Let’s dive into what your courthouse elopement can look like!
Your courthouse elopement doesn’t have to be a quick one hour thing, you can make a whole day out of it! Kendall and Andrew decided to take their time and savor every moment of their special day. Kendall got her hair done at a local salon with her girls while sipping mimosas and they got ready at a hotel while Andrew and his best man got ready at their home!
This day is about you and your lover, let’s make your day special and unique! You can carry a bouquet, wear clothes you feel good in, give a toast at the events following the ceremony, and have your day captured by a photographer you adore!
You can take whatever you like from a traditional wedding and infuse it in your courthouse elopement! For example, Kendall and Andrew knew they wanted to get ready separately and have those traditional getting ready photos, have a first look, and they knew they wanted a reception with their closest loved ones to eat and celebrate their wedding with!
Kendall and Andrew did their first look in their backyard and ate Jimmy Johns sandwiches on their porch in their wedding attire before we headed to the courthouse! It was relaxed, casual, and memorable. Adding special touches like this makes your session so unique and special to you. I always encourage my couples to add something unique to them!
Your wedding day isn’t any less special just because you choose a courthouse elopement. Kendall and Andrew were surrounded by so much love and support on their wedding day. We even visited some of their favorite date spots including a coffee shop and a sandwich/soup shop they frequent together to grab some photos!
If you think having a courthouse elopement means you can’t be surrounded by your loved ones, think again! Kendall and Andrew packed the courtroom with over 20 of their favorite people to witness their marriage! The judge himself said it was the most he’s ever had witness a ceremony.
After the ceremony, we did all the fun wedding stuff! Like cutting the cake, first dances, and enjoyed good food at Bridge Street Social! Their day was filled with love, laughter, and happiness.
“I’m literally going to cry again these are GORGEOUS !!! You are the most amazing ever, we are so so so lucky to have you!” – Kendall and Andrew
